Ya I get same 42-43mph performance on the flat and 48mph downhill but it only cost me 59$ for pipe and 13$ for filter, 3$ for the 64 jet. Not no 300$+ for pipe and carb.
Ya the stock air box even full of holes sucks/restrictive, treats large metal mesh filter is the key to making power. A55 engine is piston port and needs no restriction in order to have correct crisp jetting.
When you get the correct filter you maybe able to take like a 68-74 jet and make power through the range with no bogging though with your wrong size intake who knows. I think
